China Holiday Calendar 2026
Every public holiday in mainland China for 2026, with realistic factory shutdown windows. Plan your sourcing timeline around these dates — or pay rush fees and miss launches.
Spring Festival (Chinese New Year)
Production impact: Severe. Most factories shut Feb 7 to Mar 1 — workers travel home and many do not return immediately.
- Last cutoff for orders that need to ship before CNY: Jan 16
- Avoid placing new orders Feb 5 → Mar 5 (workforce return is gradual)
- Quality may dip in the first 1–2 weeks back as crews retrain
New Year’s Day
Production impact: Minor. 1-day stop. Order processing resumes Jan 2.
Qingming (Tomb-Sweeping Day)
Production impact: Minor. 3-day weekend. Add 3 days to lead times spanning this window.
Labor Day
Production impact: Moderate. 5-day holiday. Most factories fully closed; some southern factories may extend by 1–2 days.
Dragon Boat Festival
Production impact: Minor. 3-day stop spanning May 31 (Sun) – Jun 2 (Tue).
Mid-Autumn Festival
Production impact: Moderate. 3-day weekend, often extended into the following week if it overlaps with Golden Week prep.
National Day · Golden Week
Production impact: Severe. Official 7 days, but factories typically shut Sep 30 → Oct 8. Combined with Mid-Autumn (Sep 25-27), expect minimal output across late September.
- Ship orders out before Sep 25 if you want pre-Golden-Week QC
- Sample requests sent in late September will not be picked up until Oct 8+
- Holiday season buying (Black Friday inventory) — back this up to August
New Year’s Eve
Production impact: Minor. Most factories work through Dec 31. Some small factories begin slowing in mid-December as workers prep for CNY travel.
